Life Doesn't Go Downhill After Reaching 50's

By Katy Johnson

Believe it or not, people over the age of 50 are actually happier than younger folks. That's according to studies conducted by people who study things. And it's funny because us young folks all seem to think that life ends after middle age. Not so, they say.

A particular survey took a look at more than 300,000 people in the United State and took a look at some specific factors, for example, marriage, children, employment and the like. What came out the other end of the study was that well-being, or at least one's determination of it, varies depending on the person's age.

Things like how angry you are and stressfulness and other issues went down a whole lot from the time of the youth to the time of the old folks. However, things like worries stayed the same until middle age.

Sadness and happiness were also compared. One, sadness, seemed to go down after the age of 50, while happiness did the opposite. The reverse was true of the reverse situation.

50 seems to be the remarkable number. But women have it not so well. They say they felt more stress than the men, and they also concern themselves with sadness moreover and then also worries and sadness were experienced in greater numbers. But these also went down after 50.

There may be a reason for all the happiness and change, according to the scientists that they say. They also emphasized the amount of overall happiness going up over time.

Researchers indicate that perhaps old folks know better how to keep themselves in check when it comes to the emotions that they have and use. Others who are not so smart, do not, and that is why they fail.

You may have regrets, but some people think that the end is happiness and pie. And that is why the old folks know how to keep sane and safe. So the achievement has been reached and they are all to be known.

Of course, nothing is so simple. We cannot confirm or deny that happiness starts at 50.
