Enjoy Circus Fun on Your Summer Holidays in the UK

We've put together the top circus and performing arts festivals across the UK to help you out during this years summer holidays. Discover a season of entertainment across the UK appealing to youngsters and big kids of all ages with death-defying stunts, world-class performances and much more.

The Netherlands National Circus is touring the UK in Colchester (5th-10th July), Chingford Plain (12th-17th July) and Ramsgate (19th-26th July) and you can expect to see flying trapeze, clowning and baffling illusions. Run away to the circus and discover an astonishing tour of the UK, including a multi-national cast of artistes performing breathtaking stunts.

The popular Edinburgh Festival Fringe takes place in August every year. For three whole weeks, the city is transformed into a celebration of dance and physical theatre and features circus-style acts, as well as musicals, operas, exhibitions suitable for the whole family. With many cheap package holidays available, the festival is a fantastic reason to visit Edinburgh for excellent entertainment to suit all tastes.

For circus entertainment in Cumbria and the Lake Districts, Lakes Alive has shows running throughout the summer. Celebrate the Lake District National Park's 60th birthday by enjoying a magical garden party or perhaps experience the enchanting show high in the night's sky above Whitehaven Harbour. Whatever you choose to do, you'll be able to witness a fun and eclectic mix of world-class performances and arts events by taking advantage of the many holiday deals in the area.

Returning for its third year, the Manchester International Arts present Barrow's Contemporary Circus Festival, which is running from the 15th to the 17th July. You'll see some of the best street artists and outdoor performances across the weekend, which promises fun for the whole family. You'll be surrounded by a sea of smiling faces throughout the weekend, as well as a range of daredevil acts.
