The Greatest Adam Sandler Comedies Up To This Point

By Keith Levinson

When talking about successful comedians in years past, one person that has to be brought up in the conversation is Adam Sandler. He was never that well known for his stand up comedy, but rather for his hilarious prank call albums and novelty songs. He then managed to explode onto the movie scene and hasn't slowed down since.

But which Adam Sandler films are the funniest? This article will highlight some of my favorites of his movies.

Of course, it is difficult to make a list of Adam Sandler movies without giving praise to the film that jumpstarted his acting career, and that film was none other than Billy Madison. This movie holds up the comedy test of time and is still hilarious.

It is tough to make a top five list of Adam Sandler movies without mentioning Big Daddy. This is a great comedy for the whole family and everyone from young men to older women seem to find something to like about this film.

If you need a movie that you can just watch and laugh, and not really need to worry about keeping with the plot line, then Little Nicky is a great option. This movie is pure silliness, yet Sandler's depiction of the Devil's good-hearted son is rather enjoyable.

One movie which starred Sandler that was not a comedy at all, yet was still a great movie was Reign Over Me. Sandler plays a widowed man who has put a terrible memory of the past behind him, yet must confront his demons when he reunites with an old college friend.

Finally, Anger Management is one other Adam Sandler film that I absolutely loved. This movie also stars Jack Nicholson and Marisa Tomei. This movie is great for easy laughs.

These seem to be the best of the best Adam Sandler movies, but it is also tough to not give mention to Dirty Work, even if he wasn't the lead role. This movie is hilarious.
