'Due Date' Movie Delivered Lots Of Comedy & More

By Kevin Smith

Warner Bros recently released a new comedy movie titled "Due Date" into theaters a couple of months ago. I just got done watching it,and it was way more funnier than I thought it would be.

Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis were a total riot in this movie, delivering laugh after laugh. It just wouldn't stop. It stars: Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Michelle Monaghan, Jamie Foxx, Juliet Lewis, Danny McBride, and RZA.

The movie revolved around Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.). He's trying to get home to his pregnant wife that is due to deliver the baby any day. He catches a flight to Los Angeles, and is ready to go. However, things quickly go wrong when he gets apprehended for using his mobile phone on the plane and gets put on the "no fly " list. Also, the airport keeps all his luggage that contains his wallet, money, and ID's.

Now, he has to catch a ride with actor "wanna be" named Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis), and his nightmare begins. On their cross country road trip, Ethan comes up with a number of pit stops and detours that made them very late, spent all the necessary money on weed, ruined a western union funds transfer, and masturbated with Peter sleeping beside him. He also fell asleep at the wheel, causing them to get into a major accident, and accidentally drove to the Mexican border while trying to go to Los Angeles.

All the crazy screw ups just keep going on and on. Ethan and Peter eventually make it to Los Angeles, but not without Ethan accidentally shooting Peter with a loaded gun first. Even with all these problems, they still managed to conclude it with a happy ending. In my opinion, the movie was hysterically funny. It's one of those types of movies that just keeps delivering non-stop laughs and one-liners throughout the entire time.

Comedian Jamie Foxx made a hilarious appearance in the movie as well. He played Peter's best friend named Darryl, and gave Ethan a bumpy ride in the back of his pick up truck. It was very funny. All in all, this movie pleasantly surprised me with how many laughs it had. I gave this film a definite A+ rating.
