The Best Comedy Films Know How To Make People Laugh

The best comedy films allow viewers the opportunity to lighten their mood by letting go and laughing out loud. Laughter has been said to cure bad moods. These movies also allow the viewers the chance to lose themselves in the film for an hour or so. Many people watch this genre of movie to escape from the stresses of everyday life. There are different sub-genres of comedy filmed in order to make people laugh. This article will discuss these sub-genres, as well as the stress relieving power comedies posses.

Many people have that special someone in their lives who is always trying to make people laugh. This individual may have more insight into dealing with life's stress than originally thought. It has been said that laughter is the best medicine. There is scientific proof behind this statement.

Professionals have debated over the stress reliving abilities of laughter for decades. Many experiments have been held. One in particular was set within a hospital setting. The patients were voluntarily tested and it proved that laughter can make dealing with hard times a little easier.

Before the movie viewing, the patients were questioned by psychologists and tested by nurses to determine their mental and physical well being. Over the span of a few days, the patient's were shown different genres of comedy films. They were all shown the same movies. Nothing else was altered in the patient's daily lives. The preliminary screening was then redone. They were assessed for happiness and stress levels. The proof was apparent. They were less stressed mentally, psychically, and emotionally.

Other research has also been performed by comedians. There effort was to find out what kind of things make people laugh. Overall, what they found out is that we are all unique with different senses of humor. One common concept is realism. Viewers tend to be able to laugh as situations that are portrayed in a realistic way and need to be able to relate to the characters in order to be drawn into the plot. Outside stress seem to melt away in the face of a realistic comedy film.

Most humor centered movies use everyday situations that we all encounter and add a funny experience to it. It makes viewers able to believe that this could actually happen to them. This factor adds to the comedic affect. People are more willing to laugh at things that are realistic and believable. Others of us enjoy seeing people in films hurt in a minor way. These variations in sense of humor are what led directors and writers to invent different comedy genres.

The most commonly written sub-genres of comedy include dark, romantic, satire, and slapstick. Dark comedies make light of difficult events that we encounter throughout life. This is where the statement "too soon" came from. If a movie makes light of a tragedy and the world has not had time to process it yet, viewers will say that is is too soon to make the topic funny. Romantic comedies make viewers laugh by exaggerating and poking fun at the struggles so often present within our most intimate relationships. Satirical films use sarcasm to induce laughter. Slapstick is one of the oldest forms of comedy. It was used in films, even before sound was. Slapstick uses visual stimulation and harmless violence throughout the film.

The best comedy films know how to promote joy. They induce laughter and happiness. Comedies can help people get through the most difficult situations. It is important to recognize that people are unique. This is also true for their sense of humor. That is why there are different variations of comedy produced.
