Leave People In Stitches

Making people laugh is not as easy as it seems. In fact many comedians before becoming professional have experienced constant boos and rotten eggs thrown at them. People are very critical and will notice the smallest mistakes. Laughter happens to be the best medicine. It prolongs life and one even has a certain glow when there is laughter. The question is how can you make even the gloomiest person laugh?

One is to be creative and have original jokes. This is key in being recognized as a comedian. When a joke has already been said more than once it ceases to be funny. The outcome would therefore be booing and having eggs or tomatoes thrown at you. Compose the jokes yourself and let it be something people will be familiar with. Original jokes are unpredictable and the audience will be eager to hear it.

Always be yourself when on stage. Imitating other known comedians is not a good idea since you will look fake. Have your own comical character. People recognize comedians based on certain their characters be it catchy phrases or certain signs and actions. Have a catchy phrase people and within no time you will definitely have fans. Make sure there is no room for pretense.

Many comedians practice what to represent at home and even in front of family or close friends. This usually works since it makes the act more perfect. If one feels comfortable with this option then go for it. However there are those who stage practice and panic during the show forgetting what to present. Stage fright has happened to many but with time they overcome this.

The joke content is very important. Racial jokes can be very sensitive if not handled well. Such jokes can either go well or backfire which would be disastrous. The best jokes are those people can relate to. An example would be real life experiences .One can even twist bad experiences into jokes. Within no time you will have people in stitches.

Being funny will also depend on the type of attitude you have as a person. Learn not to take things so seriously no matter how hard they become. The key to this is to always feel good about yourself. Never allow problems to get you down since all problems have solutions. This will have an effect even when you go on stage. The reality of the matter is people do not want to see a depressed comedian. Have a positive view towards life.

Reading comedy magazines and books will give you an idea of what comedy is all about. Watching comedy shows on TV will also help improve on the kind of performance to give. There are many places one can gather comical material and one would in no time become a professional comedian. The tips to becoming a successful comedian are endless. Make sure you have at least half of the named qualities before starting this career.
