This is an action caper to watch only if you don't want to use your brain.

Veronica Lee considered the BBC Two's new comedy sketch, featuring the great female comics Lorna Watson and Ingrid Oliver, to be one of the best comedy shows around. I remember the question of my employer during my interview, "What is the first thing you do before you go to work?", and I answered, "I laugh." After my answer, I saw him smiling. Well, that is me. I always laugh. You see, I am an Intensive Care Unit Nurse and it takes a lot of courage, patience, and determination be able to do perform my job properly and accordingly. I believe that still, laughter is the best medicine of all. So, I always make it a point that I laugh before I go to work. Fortunately, I was hired and still working with him. Patients sometimes forget for a while their physiological, physical, emotional and mental pain.


You laugh because you are happy and you are happy so you laugh. Laughing is free and it is not an act of craziness if you laugh at yourself while facing the mirror. You start your day with a good laugh and end it with a smile. That is how I do it. I laugh at myself and I feel glad and delighted. Also, it enhances my confidence that I can do anything. Laughing relaxes you and enhances self-belief.


One of my patients was admitted in the intensive Care Unit because she lost her appetite and she was losing weight fast. So, the doctor inserted a tube via her nose down to her stomach. This is where the food will pass through. As I approached her, I asked her, "Why are you not eating?" She told me that, she has no craving for food anymore. I told her that the best things to do in life are to eat and sleep. She smiled at me. As I continued talking to her, I advised her that the next time she will be asked by her children what type of food she wants, she will tell them she wants two hamburgers. Why two? After a while, she was released from the ICU and was transferred to a regular ward. The tube? It was removed from her because she started eating already.

Will You Survive The Apocalypse Without Zombie T-Shirts?

Well, I hope you guys are ready! The year 2012 is coming and if an extinct civilization has anything to say about it, it will be the end of our world as we know it! How will the world end, you might enquire? Will it be floods, famine, meteors, or earthquakes? Not a chance, friends! The world will end in plague...a plague of the living dead, to be exact! When zombies are crawling towards us en masse, just remember that it was me and Romero who told you to keep your head down. How do you think you'll fare? Well, it depends on what type of survivor you'll be...and what type of survivor you'll be depends on what kind of zombie t-shirts you wear.

The first type of survivor is the Runner. The Runner never sits still, and dares anyone to try and keep up with them. They move from town to town, stealing gas and vehicles along the way. When they Runner encounters a huge mob of the living dead, they do not try any heroic feats of combat...they just run. Runners have a high success rate of survival, but are very likely to go mad from constant paranoia and sleep deprivation. Everyone has to sleep sometime, right? The best zombie t-shirts for Runners are the shirts that say things like, "Warning: In Case Of Zombie Apocalypse, I Will Trip You."

The second type of survivor is known as "The Governor." The Governor is a person who uses the extreme circumstances that surround a zombie apocalypse as a means to manipulate, control, and own other people. This is not someone who has other people's best interests at heart. No, the Governor likes to make people do what he wants merely by the force of his so-called "protection". Feed people like this to the undead and your own survival chances will be much improved. The last type of zombie apocalypse survivor is the "Hero." The Hero is our kind of guy...or gal. I'm totally not a misogynist. These people are not like some other kinds of survivors and are only concerned about themselves. They want as many people as they can find to live through the catastrophe so that the human race can rebuild from the ruins of its former glory. The Hero will sacrifice their own safety to ensure the safety of others, and they should be applauded...right before they are shot in the head because their actions led to their inevitable zombification. The Hero's survival chances are not so hot, honestly...for obvious reasons. The best zombie t-shirts for these Heroes should have some kind of Superman symbol on it.

The chances that you're going to survive a zombie outbreak are pretty slim, but if you look at the kind of zombie t-shirts that people are wearing whom you come across in the shattered landscape of the terrible future, you may have a tiny sliver of a better chance. The stark reality is that you're most likely to get eaten on for a while before you die and are changed into an unloving abomination without a soul. Don't be depressed, though! You still have a year to get ready!

Putting A Spin On The Funny T-Shirts Party

I was at a party earlier this month, having a great time, and drinking a few beers. It was sometime in the middle of the evening when a buddy of mine started telling me about another party he went to that the host was calling a "funny t-shirts party"...or something close enough to that so it doesn't make a difference. It could have been called a "Wacky-Wacky Zoom-Boom Party" for all I care. I just know it sounded fun, and I had to figure out what I had to do to get one organized amongst my own social circle.

The only real requirement is that everyone has to wear funny t-shirts. The real kicker is that Everyone is given a green card and a red card at the beginning of the party. You can use the green card to demand that someone trade shirts with you, at which time you have to surrender your green card to the person whom you are swapping with. If that person wants to keep their shirt, they can use the red card to block the swap...but they have to surrender it to the person who just tried to use their green card on them. If you follow what I just wrote at all, you'll understand that the balance of green cards and red cards will get way off kilter at some point in the night.

The moment when the whole social dynamic of the party gets flipped upside down is when all the beautiful folks at the party run out of red cards and the t-shirt swapping starts taking place. The very second that people realize that they can watch gorgeous people take their shirts off, the green cards start flying everywhere. Watching fat people trying to squeeze into small shirts is also pretty hilarious, too.

Greasing the social wheels with some strong drink never hurts either. Some people just won't do something so socially outgoing without a few shots of whiskey first. Have you noticed how some of the most demure girls will happily flash complete strangers when they have two or three cocktails? Well, that's the kind of environment you need to provide in order to facilitate people taking their funny t-shirts off in a crowded room.

The whole funny t-shirts party-swap idea is all in good fun, however. No one has any intention of taking advantage of drunk girls. The idea is to have a laugh at some hilarious shirts, and to loosen up enough to get a room full of half naked young people.
